Early Friday morning (PS -- Happy Birthday Bapi!!) we headed towards the ferry to Capri!! Our trip to the island took about 30 minutes.  We could see much of the island from the sea, but to truly experience the grottos we would have to rent our own boat.

When we reached Capri, we had lunch at a stand with chicken and french fry sandwiches -- just like the grease trucks back home!  Since we had some time before our private boat tour, we relaxed on the beach.  The water was so warm and clear, but the rocky sand was painful to say the least!  There is next to no surf along that part of the coast, so the calm waters put us to sleep!

When it was finally time for the boat tour, we split up into groups of ten so we could fit on our "whales."  We started on the east side of the island with the White Grotto -- I really didn't think the water could become more beautiful!  Many chose to jump off the boat and go for a swim, while others enjoyed the scenery.  Next came the Green Grotto, a local favorite, with ideal swim conditions and cliff jumps.  At this Grotto, we actually swam through the cave...noodles and all :).

Finally, we made our way to the infamous Blue Grotto.  We got off our whales and onto smaller row boats in groups of five to enter the Grotto.  It is definitely worth paying extra to go inside!!! Inside it is pitch black, but because of the sun's reflection, the water appears as blue as Rana's car!  The pictures just don't do justice.
