Hello from Vietnam!!
sorry it's been kinda a while!
Sooo basically the short version of wht we've been up to: we went to this town called Vang Vieng in Laos and it was effing saweeettttt!!!! all you basically do there is rent these tubes and float down a river and there's bars all along the river side, like TONS of them, and they throw a rope into the river and like pull you into their bar and you get really drunk, then hop into your tube and continue floating and it's soooo sweet it's honestly the best time I've had!! Or one of them anyways! And then when your done there's this bar called Sunset bar and you sit there and get messed up and lay in hammocks and chill. its sooo cool. Or you can go to any cafe in town tht all play differnt TV shows on multiple TVS (like Family guy or Friends for example) and the tables are more like beds so it's like supper in bed ITS SO SWEET! ...I obviously like this place.
anywho
now we're in Ho Chi Minh city (also known as Saigon) and it's awesome. @ first we hated it cause there's more motorcycles than your brain can understand..6 million in the city, to be exact. To cross the street, you need to walk slow, steady, don't slow down or speed up and DONT stop, or you will get hit. There is NEVER a lull in traffic so that's basically the only options, it's insane. The average amount of accidents here (fatalities) is 1000 people/month. It is not at all surprising!!
Anyway we discovered the shopping here and so now we like it. Today I bought a Guess bag (red and black snakeskin baby), a prada wallet, a versace wallet (which Cammy is jealous of), versace parfume, a gift for my mom (who reads this so I wont say what) and 'dior' sunglasses, all for about $50. Fuck yeah, I love this place!
We also went to these tunnels where the war took place and the vietnamese ppl lived in these 200 KM long TINY little underground tunnels the entire war. and here's the best part: THEY CALL IT THE AMERICAN WAR!! hahahahha. Okay maybe not so funny. But interesting?
Anyway we pretty much just shop here and that's not interesting (well not for you) so that is all I have to tell you. Tomorrow we go to Phnom Penh (in Cambodia) which should be cool. there are millions of live land mines in Cambodia so umm cross you fingers for us (which we can't do there cause it's like giving ppl the finger??)
I'll write soon!!!
=)
