Cammy and I are in Sydney, we just got here from Byron Bay. That place is AWESOME. It's this little beach town with lots of shopping, cafes, beaches, and HIPPIES. Like, hundreds of them! Thousands! haha well I dunno. but the entire place is hippies and backpackers galore.
We stayed in this hostel called the Cape Byron lodge, and met lotsa ppl. Including this Austrian guy that works there, that drives the shuttle bus, who is possibly the HOTTEST thing I've ever seen in my life. His name is Felix. Cammy and I sat there are stared. We made friends with him though and then he was just our friend. But a really goodlooking one. Just incase you didn't catch that.
We also made friends with this girl named Kelly who was also our friend, and another couple, Steph and Reese (Steph was from CYPRUS mom and dad!! you may be going there, but we partied with one, so HA). ANYWAY. The very first night we went to this club/restaurant called Cheeky Monkey's, because they have HUGE $2 meals. It was goood! Then we predrank @ our hostel, and went back to Cheeky Monkey's. People dance on tables there and stuff, it's just insane! Kinda scummy, but also the most famous club in Byron, so you pretty much have to go. It was like alll back packers. We walked home from there, and because i was intoxicated I attempted to climb a tree...It didn't work and ended in me realizing it was infested with ants and freaking out screaming trying to get them off of me. Very classy, indeed.
Anywho, it rained the 1st couple days, so we just kinda hung out. We also went to Nimbin, stoner capital of Aussy. It's hiolarious! An entire town of the craziest hippies you've ever seen, and EACH one of them goes up to you like 'you want some cookies?? Some Gang?? Hmm? how much?" ALL of them. And the polics just turn a blind eye, like Amsterdam kinda. So not gunna lie (mom, dad, dad more so, don't read the next few sentences plz and DONT read them to nana and papa thanks haha) we bought some pot cookies and ate them and they tasted good and did the job and it was awesome lol. You pretty much go into this museum and they sell anything you can possibly want if it has to do with weed, it's so funny.
Anyway, the last day (friday) there was a BBQ @ our hostel, so we did that and got like, burgers, sausages, pasta and potato salad, and unlimited Sangria. So that was good fun. And right before that, I TOOK A SURFING LESSON!!! SOOOO FUN. It was like $49 for a 3 hour lesson, which is alot cheaper than the other places, and it was freaking awesome! I even got up on the board, like, a billion times. Yeah the waves were pretty small but I got up like my first or second try. It's exhausting but man was it ever worth it! (not to mention the instructor was really hot haha). So I was happy, even though Cammy wouldn't come with me.
Anywho that is the story of Byron Bay. Definitely my favorite place so far!!
And in 2 days we'll be in Thailand, so whenever it is I find the internet there, that'll likely be the next time I write (I AM SOOO EXCITED!!)))
