Art has found a flea market that is 30 miles south in San Jose. So we head that way after breakfast. It is the largest flea market in the country the ad says, and we don't doubt that the ad was right. It was huge. Much bigger than the state fair that is held at the Ag Center each year. The parking lot is so large that there is a crane in the center of it with two patrol cops sitting in a bucket high up with binoculars, just monitoring the parking lot!
We spend an hour or two walking through the flea market
The temperatures are in the high 80's.
We set our GPS for Fresno and head out. We do not travel far before we realize how beautiful a drive this is, through the California high mountains with no trees, just brush and grass. Then we round a curve and see a huge lake among the mountains, a reservoir. The road travels around the lake and it is an awesome sight.
The rest of the drive to Fresno is very nice too. Art is so happy to be out on the open road, NO TRAFFIC!!!. We listen to our Pandora Radio all the way there. We get to Fresno around 6:30 and find a very hot place, but a very cool room and a very cool restaurant on site.
This has been a very nice day and we look forward to Monday, our trip through Yosemite National Park.
