Hey, I don't know if this will work, but Im trying it out anyways. Amber and I are in Rome right now, and OMG this place is amazing. I cant even describe it and we havent even seen everything yet. today we went and saw the coliseum and this arc dedicated to this constatine guy and some old roman ruins and this famous fountain. the fountrain trevi it is called. the colisuem was amazing to look at. it is really cool. I cant believe Im actually in Rome. Its so old and historic here its really cool. its a dirty city which sucks b/c there is so much history here and its beautiful b/c of that, but the garbage everywhere and graffiti ruins it a little.
So the next day we went to Vatican city and saw st. peters basicalla and went on this free guided tour of it. it was pretty interesting and definatly the nicest church I have seen yet. we saw the window where the pope comes out and blesses the crowd every wednesday. we leave wednesday so are gonna miss it but it would have been cool to be there for it just to see and what not. Then we checked out this castle nearby vatican city, but its closed on mondays so we just checked it out from the outside and it was interesting just too look at. we were really beat by this time as the heat really gets to ya so we headed back to the hostel to rest and chatted with some american girls who were in our room. Then at night we went out for our italian pizza dinner. was very good, but not as good as our pasta one. I dont think any meal I will have on the rest of my trip or in my life will beat the pasta dinner from florence. we ate near the colosseum so got to see it at night which was really cool, its all lit up and everything.
So our last day were basically taking it easy as were monumented out. there is still so much to see but we saw the main stuff, stuff we know about. we just dont want to go out in the heat much today. so thats Rome, my next ones will all be beach ones as we head to the amalfi coast in Italy tomorrow and then off to Greece to check out the islands there. I hope everyone enjoys this travel blog site as I am probably going to keep using this instead. Take care Everyone.
