Hello Everyone,

We are in Bar Harbor (pronounced "bah hahbah"), Maine. Bar Harbor is a town on Mount Desert Island (pronounced “dessert” – something to do with French).  Acadia National Park makes up a good portion of the island.

We are staying in the at the Snell House, which is a few minutes walk from the Bar Harbor town green.  The Snell house provided us with a small three-bedroom space that is perfect for us.  We love this place!  It is very quiet and far enough away from the…er…annoying tourists that are everywhere.  Paul and Mary are the owners and are extremely hospitable and welcoming…we highly recommend staying at Snell House.

We have been hiking like mountain goats, eating seafood like we are at the top of the food chain, playing Farkle like gambling addicts, sitting on our patio on cool afternoons like people who cannot do that at home in the summer, playing Frisbee like college hippies, and…ok…enough.  We have also been swimming in the lakes and ponds (ocean is too cold) and Silas and Jeff did some ocean fishing and lobstering.

Weather-wise, it has been perfect in an area known for its unstable weather.

We hope that you enjoy the pictures.

Heading to Quebec City, today (July 10)…

Those annoying tourists! I feel the same way about all of those Phoenicians who come to Flagstaff! Ug!

Looks like you've been having a great time.

Back here, of course, we've been frying like eggs on a hot sidewalk; working like dogs; and shedding like a Rottweiler (Rafiki only).

Holdir is holding a general cat strike until the conditions get better. He is holding the dogsitter hostage and demanding that you come home or the dogsitter gets it! The ferals are backing him up by howling at night and tormenting the neighborhood dogs.

Business as usual. Love, M&L
