Day33 Sremska Mitrovica to Belgrade *via Fruska Gora*
Distance>145km
33 Sremska Mitrovica to Belgrade via Fruska Gora Distance 145km
Best bit, riding with the pack
Worst bit, having to shout at a particulary ignorant driver
Dejan and Barnie {local bike mechanic} rode with me to the feet of the Fruska Gora hills, stuffed me with strawberry chocolate and then said a friendly farewell. It was good to enjoy the novelty of some cycling company for once and have a fit roadie on a verylight bike set the pace gaveme an extra good workout. Fruska was as lush and specacular as the day before, and its hills dominated the landscape. This part of the marked trail continues to be not for the fainthearted. Dont read this bit mum, but the drivers are nuts, and I had to cycle into the verge today a couple of times to avoid crazies. However, after Belgrade the route looks much better, so will stick with it for now, but very tempted to plan my own route, like i did for France and Austria. Costs more in maps but more interesting! Arriving in Belgrade was warmly welcomed by Miriana, a family friend. So will lodge with her for 2 or 3 night and recharge the legs.

I hate car drivers when cycling
We cycled to Windsor from London with Andrea yesterday. We did just a fraction of what you did, of course, just 57 km. But I now understand once again how stressful is to cycle on the busy roads. And if the drivers are nuts, as you say, it is even worse...
Nice picture in the rain, I like it
