Of course there are issues to resolve apart from buying this bus. How to get it back to Weymouth for a start and where to park it for the next 11 months. Don't think it would fit on our drive and I really couldn't see the neighbours being impressed either.
My report at work had apparently filtered through to the correct desk. After finally getting hold of the Admin Manager, it turns out that I have permission to store my bus at work. Excellent news.
I phoned the bus depot and told them that I wanted the bus. Alas, 2 spare wheels and tyres are going to set me back a further £200, but as tyres alone are about £200 each, I guess I can't complain. So, next weeks bill is now £1960. Gulp !
The good news is that they are happy to bill me £1000 for the bus and £700 for the wheels. this could be useful when I need to apply for a carnet de passage as I will need a bond worth 8 times the value of the vehicle in Egypt.
I've just worked out that this bus is about 29 years old. It's a V reg first time around. that means no Road Tax !

Looking forward to seeing the 38 to AA and working out how things will fit inside. Pretty excited about the whole experience and really looking forward to being involved
