The next day dawned windy, but not as windy as previous. The ferry arrived on time and we boarded, bound for Athens once more.
A Beaufort 8-9 storm stranded us on Naxos for a day longer than we had anticipated. Fortunately we had nice lodgings; a small pensionne near the harbor and our favorite watering hole. During our extra day on the island, we considered renting a car and exploring Naxos more thoroughly, but it was really windy and drinks were cheap and tasty. So we spent the day wandring around looking for a place to do laundry, then washing the grit from our mouths with coffee first, then cocktails later.
