Finally arrived at our temporary destination around 10PM. Only a few things to accomplish here.

Like getting married. Not much to say about Lafayette at the moment, so I'll just add some pictures.

So far everything went off "with a hitch" as one of our friends told us. Jacy and I had our marriage ceremony on August 16th, 2008 at 4:30 PM. It was a beautiful, sunny day with cool breezes and a warm sun. We couldn't have asked for better weather for both the wedding and outdoor reception.

Jacy's father gave her away in Grace United Methodist Church in Lafayette Indiana, and our two families were joined; the Huangs and the Kuipers. Everyone retired to a beautiful white tent next to a pond and we celebrated well into the night with great food, drinks, music, cake, dancing, toasts, fireworks, and the launch of a Taiwanese sky light flying lantern.

Over the next 10 days we busied ourselves writing thank-you notes, setting up our finances for our trip, making last-minute preparations, and eating everything in sight. We didn't get a lot of sleep, but we did get a lot accomplished.

However, we really have no solid plans, despite embarking on a "worldwide tour" we're just going to GO, and then figure it out on the way. Hopefully things work out. We'll see.

Anyway, just one day left to go before we depart...
