getting ready to go

so we are trying to figure out how to get ready, leave the house and the various critters we've accumulated along the way....We fly NYC to LA to Auckland to Cairns then we've planned to immediately drive up to Cape Tribulation for 5 nights then onto the Atherton Tablelands for 2 nights then to Hinchinbrook Island for 4 nights, Cairns (where Gord has a meeting) for 4 nights then back up to the Port Douglas area.......
we'll see what happens......kids are good travellers--- but Will (my eight yr old) is worried about sharks (he watched JAWS at a friends house the other day.... : ( ) Lucy (my oldest-10) is psyched for the rainforest, but not the snakes.....me, I've suddenly become obsessed with storiesof croc attacks--how'd that happen????????????
