We have traveled by plane, bus (alot), boat and foot seeing many of the truly amazing places, historical and natural, this planet has to offer and visited some of its most vibrant cities. We have eaten new foods and tried some fabulous wine, gotten up and close with nature (a bit too close when it comes to piranhas and alligators), tried new things, like hydro speeding and learnt Spanish (well sort of).
We have had the opportunity to met new people both other tourists and locals and Gabriella has also had the chance to met some of the people from her dad's teens in Chile and see her family (well some of it) in Argentina.
We have had challenges (the 10 days trek around Torres Del Paine being the most obvious one) and endured many long and in some cases uncomfortable bus rides.
BUT one thing is for certain is that we have had an amazing time and we are both conscious that not everyone has the opportunity to travel like we do and see and experience what we have had the fortunate opportunity to experience.
More than anything it has been a trip good for us. It is the longest time we have spent in one go with each either in our relationship. There is a saying that if you can get through traveling together you can get through anything (ok not sure if that is a saying or if I just made it up but think it is true enough) if anything in our case it makes us stronger and we truly like hanging out with each other. I count myself fortunate to have someone that shares my love of traveling and can not imagine traveling on my own again - but I am going to have to as this is exactly what I will be doing for the next two months or so.
So it is with a heavy heart we must call an end to this wonderful journey of ours however I am sure more journeys await in our future and I look forward to them with anticipation.
till next time!
