Our last day in holland, and we are done our boat & bike tour.  We choose a lesser known city, Utrecht, to go to by train, and explore.  As we exit the train, we are enveloped in a Saturday crowd, mostly locals, out for the street market and farmers market.  We find a bike shop, and rent a bike, as we know we can see more and explore the streets, canals, and old buildings.  We are quite adept at cycling in the streets now, but the crowds are so big downtown, that even we cannot navigate through them.

We end our stay with dinner in Utrecht.  It an interesting atmosphere to be in the middle of a teeny room with  tiny tables, that soon fills up with 30 people.  All are conversing in Dutch, it gets louder and louder and we are in the middle of the Sat nite buzz and we cannot understand a single word around us.  No eavesdropping!!!

What I know about Holland that I didn't before....

The Dutch eat mustard with everything!  They dip cheese int it, they dip bread in it, they dip all their appetizers in it!

There is more water and canals than I ever could have imagined.  The cities and towns are like Venice, and boats are just as much a part of the transportation as bicycles!

The Netherlands are a people to take of their own decisions and their own well being and safety.  It is refreshing to be in a place where they do not expect the government to take care of everything.
The population is astounding!

There is more to Dutch beer than Heineken.  Spring Beers are excellent!

Sheep!  bezillions of sheep!
