After driving through some spectacular open plain and canyon scenery, we arrived at Bryce Canyon, Utah.  We received a call from Chris wishing me happy fathers day just as we were parking the car and about to walk to the canyon.  Alex was impressed with the canyon, especially that the rails were only on a small part of the canyon wall.  He threw bunches of rocks down the slope watching some them bounce all the way to the bottom.  We walked to the highest point of the canyon wall, out of breath at 7000 feet altitude, and found someone who took our picture together.
