Today the weather is bad, cold and raining. I decide to take a day trip to Harrlem. I activate my Eurail pass at the train station.
Not much going on in Harrlem, the open market was cool. I am feeling sick and starting to think it would have been better to stay in bed instead of walking around in the rain.
I met 2 Americans from California on the train back to Amsterdam. They have been on holidays for 3 weeks. They were place droppers, listing all the places they have been during the holiday. I acted like I was getting off at the next stop and moved down a few train cars to get away from them.
Get back to the hostel to change out of the wet clothes. One of the guys suggested we try a restaurant on the north side of the train station. It stopped raining finally. The restaurant was a greek restaurant. The owners are Canadians from BC. Cheap food and good cold beer. The food was excellent and the owners sat at the table with us. They weren't very busy. They say there busy nights are Fri and Sat.
