We've made it to the famous Byron Bay. It's pretty nice, I guess. A few miles of white sand beaches, quaint little tourist town with tons of shops and stores, and warm waves. Taryn was instantly enamoured and ready to settle in for a long stay. A quick review of the employment classifieds revealed that we aren't the only ones who think that would be a good idea. We're staying at a caravan park just south of the town centre. Just step out onto the beach and a few minutes late step back up into the town.
We have contacted a lady in Perth who has advertised for three months free accommodation and food in exchange for cleaning/child care/ect. As a bonus there would be free access to their fleet of horses and other farm implements. It's on a polo horse farm from the sounds of it. Taryn is reasonably excited that there may be horse riding daily for her. We've been in email contact and will have to talk to the, and make sure we're both on the same page but if it works out it could be a good opportunity for us.
Currently poring rain here... Who knew it did this in Australia? May ask for my money back. In the end we just went to the beach. What's more fun than trying out our new K-Mart body boards in the rain with twenty degree water?
