Ok, so it's Sunday, the day of rest. I think rest, at this point, is a little overrated. I am sooooo bored. I wish I had someone here to be with me. I tried to sleep in again and only was successful until 9:30 again. I washed some more clothes and had "church" by myself for awhile. I love having time to study the scriptures. I was able to write about James 1 and 2 today. I learned that favoritism isn't just bad manners, it is against God's Law! It goes against "love your neighbor as yourself" since everyone is your neighbor you should love everyone equally, as yourself. I also read that faith without works is dead. I had always heard that but I also knew that salvation is not based on works. It took me awhile to sort the two out. But now I get it: first you are saved, not by works "lest anyone should boast" and after you are saved you show your faith by your works, not to be saved, but to make an outward sign of the inward change in your life. Well, that is about all I did today. Maybe tomorrow will be more interesting.
