Today was pretty much a normal day at school. Roberto wasn't there today so I spent the day with the second grade. I got to see Rita do an English class with them. Second grade is more like a normal America school where the students only have one teacher (except for special classes like English or P.E.). The kids were a little squirrelly, like all kids are, and they used pretty much the same tactics to calm them that we used at the daycare, like soothing music or time-outs (the whole class puts their heads down and you turn out the lights so they can take a minute to relax). After school I got really bored because my internet wasn't working properly and Cecy left for class at 3:30. I washed some clothes in the sink then worked on my cross stitch. Finally the time came for me to call Dad and soon after tat I went to the movies with Rita. We saw an old Marilyn Monroe movie "Let's Make Love." Rita told me that one week each month some cultural group in the city puts on these shows with real old time film. It only costs ONE euro! Each month they have a different theme, this month is Marilyn Monroe. It is in English with Spanish subtitles. A lot of elderly people go because it only costs one euro and they have nothing else to do (which is pretty much my reason as well!). There was a little old man sitting next to Rita and every time she coughed he would try to give her candy. How cute! Afterwards we went and got some coffee, but we didn't stay long because it was already after 10:00 and we both had classes in the morning.

Who the heck?
Who is Rita? You leave out details...like who are these people. I'm guessing Roberto is the teacher you're working with, but you didn't say that either...jeesh, what am I going to do with you? So are you going to come and practice your Spanish here with me?

I thought I had already stated that Rita is another teacher in the school. She teaches English and helps me out a lot with where things are. She was the one that invited me to go to the movies on Monday, and we may do some travelling together this weekend, if she decides to go anywhere.
