Today I had a meeting with the education department to figure out my placement. It was very interesting. It was completely in Spanish. It is amazing how fast it all came back to me; I didn't have any trouble at all communicating with them. They decided that I should be put in a sixth grade classroom at a school nearby where they teach English but I will also be helping with other subjects in Spanish like math and science and stuff. I am a little nervous about that part but they said my Spanish was good enough that I should be able to do it. I'm not so sure about that but we will see. They told me if I didn't feel comfortable there then I could transfer to another school that is farther away but is completely bilingual. I talked a little more with my roommate, Cecilia, and found out that she is from Chile, she has one brother, younger but also in college, and two dogs (one is hers and the other is her brother's). She is 23 years old and is only going to be in Spain for a month. She just arrived on Sunday. She is really nice and has already helped me out with a lot of things and is very patient with my Spanish.
