Ok, so traveling isn't much fun when you are by yourself for a very long time! I was so bored waiting for the plane and on the plane with no one to talk to. It was kinda scary too because I had to do everything by myself and I was a little nervous about getting lost or something, luckily that didn't happen. It was very exhausting dragging around all of my stuff all the time though. Boy do my shoulders hurt today! The plane rides were pretty much normal, I guess I am getting used to planes by now, but the train was a little different. Once I got into the airport at Madrid I asked several people where I could find a place to use the internet and got several different answers, none of which were helpful. Finally I gave up and found the Renfe ticket place so I decided to buy a ticket to Leon. The ticket lady told me to take the metro to the train station but it took me awhile to figure out where the metro was. The lady at the metro station was very helpful and spoke English, she told me what lines to take to get to the train station. So I got there ok and found a place to use the internet, but I had to pay 7.5 euros for 45 minutes! I finally figured out where I was supposed to go and got on the train, not too hard, and I actually kinda fell asleep during the ride which was about 5 hours. At the end I had to get a taxi to the school which proved to be more difficult than I had anticipated. I sat there and waited for probably 20 minutes and never once saw a taxi so I finally went to the information desk and got the phone number to call a taxi but when I called no one answered so I just went back to waiting. Soon after that a taxi came and picked some people up but I thought they must have called it. A few seconds later a few more taxis came and so I ran out and got in one and went to the residence hall. It turns out that you have to go down a flight of stairs to get to the door and so I had to drag my huge suitcase down the stairs and over to the door. It actually wasn't too hard to find and the guy at the desk gave me something to fill out and took me to my room where I met my roommate. She told me that she had just gotten there on Sunday and was only planning on staying for a month. She is from Chile so she speaks perfect Spanish. Apparently there will be another person coming in to the other room later. So traveling was very boring and interesting at the same time.
