This is one of the most important day of this amazing trip today beacause I have finally reached the southern most city in the world: Ushuaia! I am also so happy to have reached this point because it is so beautiful around here. This is one of my favorite entry of my blog!
Ushuaia is located in a wide bay on the southern coast of the island of Tierra del Fuego, bounded on the north by the Martial mountain range and on the south by the Beagle Channel.
Tierra del Fuego was first seen in 1520 during Ferdinand Magellan's expedition. He named the area Land of Smokes (later changed to Land of Fire) as he saw what were probably the fires produced by the local peoples for heat.
