Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest salt flat at 10,582 square kilometers (4,086 sq mi). It is elevated 3,656 meters (11,995 ft) above the mean sea level. It contains 50 to 70% of the world's lithium reserves, which has yet to be extracted.
I spent the day discovering this impressing white desert with a very nice Brazilian group and listening to old 70s music!
