Welcome to the Incas empire!

Let me start with some history of the Incas empire:
The Incas empire was found by Patchacuti in 1442 and became the largest empire in pre Columbian America.
The Inca territory was centered on the Andean mountain ranges, including large parts of modern Ecuador, Peru, western and south central Bolivia, northwest Argentina, north and north-central Chile, and southern Colombia. Cool! Because I am planning to visit all these places except for Columbia (But Maria, one day I will go there as well ;-) and hopefully with Sabrina & You :-)
The Inca empire fell in 1572 with the Spanish conquest. The new Spanish rulers brutally oppressed the people and suppressed their traditions. Many aspects of Inca culture were systematically destroyed.
However, though indigenous sovereignty was lost, Inca cultural traditions remain strong among surviving indigenous descendants, such as the Quechua and Amrya people. But what is left today from Inca monuments are more ruins but the Inca spirit is still there when you visit the various places.
