Well I managed to make it over to the dark continent safely, not that I was too concerned with not making it as I know others were. I smoked a whole pack of cigarettes and read an entire book in Casablanca during my eight hour layover and put up with Moroccans speaking French sending me every which way when I couldn't find my gate... tight. My French is actually coming in exponentially more useful than my Arabic, well considering my Arabic skills are quite limited. Finalized my schedule today (everything except Arabic in fact which I have to take a placement test for) : Islamic Art and Architecture, Islamic Civilization, Comparative Religion and History of the Arab World. Classes start Wednesday and I'm thoroughly enthralled about it. Still getting to know the campus but it is phenomenal. It feels like you accidentally were whisked away into the Swiss Alps. It was probably sixty or so degrees F and people were bundled up in heavy wool jackets. A litre of water or soda pop is less than one USD. Awesome. So far all of my dining experiences, in the campus restaurants and in Ifrane, have been positively delectable. I feel sorry for everyone at Bonaventure munching down on the laxative ridden hickey food. I also miss you a great deal. Speaking of ingesting food, I think I'm going to do just that. Pictures to come tonight! Peace all.
