We stopped off at Carmel, a beautiful small town along the coast where the rich go and retire.

It is a cute, pretty town, right next to Pebble Beach - where the rich and famous have homes. We did get a chance to see Pebble Beach and the 18th hole.

Along the way we did stop at this colony of Elephant Seals. What funny creatures! They look like these huge pieces of fat, just lying around. They don't even have enough energy to make noise all at the same time, they seem to take it in turns. And also chasing one away that they don't like seems to happen in shorts spurts with lots of resting time in between.

We pushed through to Santa Barbara. We stayed in the Harbour View Inn, which is a lovely hotel on the beach front, close to downtown.

We explored downtown at night, having a very garlic filled meal at an Italian restaurant.
The next morning we went for a quick walk in Santa Barbara, but the weather wasn't great, so we left for LA.

Baie dankie vir die fotos en videos. Dit is goed om julle te sien en te hoor.
Die bome is verskriklik groot. Ek het nie besef hoe groot hulle werklik is nie. Die pad wat julle gery het was ook besonder spesiaal. Dankie dat julle al hierdie dinge met ons gedeel het.
