It turned out that Ronda is beautiful place - a small town perched on a plateau, with a gorge running through the middle featuring two stone bridges. The height of the plateau has shaped Ronda's history - it was one of the last cities to fall from Muslim into Christian hands in about 1500, since it is so difficult to attack.
Ronda is also very well known as a bull fighting city. Despite the bull ring being smaller than the Sevillian equivalent, it is no less impressive
We saw many other sights, such as the old Arab baths, and a really good modern art museum featuring many works of Joaquin Peinado who was originally from Ronda. Ash and I had pretty much given up on Spanish modern art museums, but this one was fantastic.
However, the highlight of Ronda is really just its physical beauty - it is breathtaking eye-candy.
