Where I stayed

The last few days have been restful. I have not been participating in the dance classes until yesterday,  but have been doing the drumming classes. Maracatu on a real alfaia is amazing. (photos soon)

Yesterday Anderson came and jumped on me in my bed. I was feeling poorly. And cuddled me and made me laugh until I got up... I felt better immediately. It was like having your younger brother come and wake you up by  making you laugh and doing gross stuff.

He said he saw Ann dancing Maracatu on the streets with a guide. Having no portuguese the guide had asked her what she was doing for carnaval so she started dancing, the guide joined her and then as Anderson walked around the corner he burst out laughing at the site. A few minutes later hearing I was poorly I had my younger brother jumping on my bed and telling me the story of Ann and the Guide. I woke up laughing my head off.. . It really helped me feel better kkkkk.

I´m now starting to feel better but poor Ann has the cold now. The only blessing being our room has air conditioning and we can just retire to ´the refrigerator´and cool down our fever.

Infact everything is just cool and breezy. Not much to tell, no dramas, all easy and fine.

I believe I wont be dancing as an Orixa with Chameleo but will be drumming instead (actually great). Nacao Pernambuco has offered me a place as on Orixa or as a Queen, depending on how I´m feeling. Energetic = Orixa. Needing to be under an umbrella and pampered = Queen.
We´ll see. Its good to have options and be looked after.

The nice thing is that Anderson has had a few words with Jorge about me not being available... That was great.... Actually now, with us its, chilled easy. We´re hanging out like the old friends that we are.  He´s helping me buy instruments, material gear, all three of us (Ann, him and I) chatting and hanging out beyond language barriers...  really fun and great... so much easier. Its nice when you both realise, finally, there is nothing there but deep love of friendship and thats enough.

I´m sure people see us together and are talking, but its clear and cool between him and I, and that is all that counts.  I´m lucky that ultimately (beyond that last bad choice - don´t mention the war) I choose really lovely men and have great taste in men. Thank goodness.

Ok better run. Fejoada today to say goodbye to Wendell and Berenice, whom I haven´t even said hello to yet. Also a few rehearsals with Chameleo and Nacao. Lots of tapoica, acaraje, beautiful juices and yummy stews make for a happy sooz. Actualy I believe my sickness is a detox reaction... as I just keep slimming down and my hair, skin, nails and eyes get clearer and stronger/shinier by the day.

Lots of love and happyness. (fewer sniffles every day)
