Back to Syd. Not my favorite spot. But this time hooked up with couple of my buddie, Ace's, dj friends for a night out, some nice free drinks but music too loud to ever connect or talk beyond "hello, how long are you here for" Next night hooked up with Ingbar one of my Israeli girl friends from NZ. Tried to meet up at Chinese Laundry for the dj/producer Gui Borrato but the line was insane, and the vibe was both unprofessional and pretentious. Not a good combo. Waited long enough from my buzz to die and my frustrations to enliven. Met up with ingbar about the time I was ready to go home but I humored her for two other bars before giving up. The last night in Syd made up for some lost time and interest. Stayed at The Blue parrot, very nice, nice people, Brian from Wisconsin, and John or Jake (?) Old Scotish guy. Along with cute Swiss girl and Utah guy I went to Bondi Beach with. We all had a kangaroo barbecue with great sweet corn, salad. Nice...and great laughs and convo.
