From the journal:
Not much in Vientiane except a fun hip hop concert, more Beer Lao, a swimming pool, roof top bar complete with strangely misplaced Africans middle aged Brits with scantily clad Loa girls on each arm Oh yeah! let's not forget my bike accident. Got cut off by the only other westerners I saw the entire day. Turned to look down a road and before my eyes could even find the road ahead again they were there 10 feet away, slam on the breaks, skid on the gravel and down we go. I'll be fine, don't bother to stop...really, this kind of thing happens to me everyday. Had some moments for those 3 days, great cheap food, but happy to get out of it.
Also in Vientienne I met up with Brigitte. She was someone that regretfully I didn't interact with in Vang vienne. I was energetically attracted to her and although it didn't happen the few times I saw her working at the Bamboo Bar I had actually considered going back before leaving just to connect. She seemed so much more traveled in the life sense; and mature than most the other young ones in these SE asia party towns. And as I found out for the night we spent together I was indeed right. She was french canadian from quebec and despite a present but manageable language barrier we had a good time and some nice refreshingly deeper conversations.
