Talking To Strangers Count: 9
Hotel Swag Tally: Pens (x2), Notepads (x2), cotton-buds (x1)
Ben & Jerry's stores seen: 0 (aaagh)

As the only purpose of this blog is to assess the excellence of sweet consumables, I will start by declaring that of the 14 puddings/candys/donuts/free-hotel-sugar-packets so far, the likely favourite has been Jolly Ranchers 'cool tubes'. I am converting my suitcase into a freezer to bring them home.

Thursday was all about wisely spending money, as shown in the photos of my excellent purchases.

Friday was a chance to be more of a laaaaaaaaaaaaaaad by beating my all-time "most museums visited in a day record" with trips to the ex-Texas Schoolbook Depository where JFK was shot (not sure why the gift shop was selling good luck charms given the Kennedy heritage), Old Red and Dallas Museum of Art's George Grosz exhibit.

Having 2 of my Top 4 most expensive meals was fun if emotionally challenging. Had to try proper Texan steak, at a 'hip' bar where I was accosted by Real Housewives of Dallas wannabes (it took me a while to work out if they were prostitutes or not but since they didn't leave with the horny Mexican businessmen who came in later, they officially weren't). Overpriced food but they gave me so many fries I managed to have most of them for lunch the next day (in more conventional Bazza-style). Following day's dinner had no encounters with US versions of Elaine, but great omakase (to save Googling time, that's sushi where the chef picks what you eat - it's sort of a super-expensive Boots meal deal). I wouldn't have

To up the negativity quotient, here's the Top 3 Biggest Dallas Disappointments
- the cute redhead who served me at the bookshop not responding to my new 'redheads are amazing' T-shirt (possibly because I was covered with unidentifiable white stains, curse you sunscreen).
- assuming that the bottled water in the hotel was free like it was in the Washington one, only to see the $8.45 price tag
- not buying a stetson with roses on it. Would have taken effort but I could have made it work.

Can't believe you took chips home! They must have been disgusting the next day! Are you keeping in touch with the housewives? What's the conversations with red heads count at? shop assistants don't count.

Only seen 3 redheads so far :(. And the best was a barista at Manchester airport :(

I will have plenty of room to bring stuff back as I will get twice as much luggage allowance once I have to start buying two seats because of my new obesity

Its been three days since your last update, are you alive, i'm guessing you have gorged yourself to death in a huge buffet/hooker binge.
