The north of Armenia is called Little Switzerland as it is many more trees, is green, and is in the Lesser Caucasus mountains.  Today I visited Haghartsin and Haghpat monasteries, both UNESCO World Heritage sites (in fact, all the monasteries I visited in Armenia are UNESCO sites), before making my to the border with Georgia - where I waited for an hour to cross - and then onto Tbilisi.

Before crossing the border however, I needed to buy some laundry detergent as I had run out which was fortunate as I could not pass up the laundry detergent named "Barf."  Actually, barf is farsi for snow but it is lost in translation!
