Our fairly large room has 4 girls right now. One girl wakes up around 7:30am everyday, which wakes me up, which in turn wakes the other two up. I guess living in a dormitory has a domino effect.
I went back to Penguin to retrieve my Open Water card, then stopped by a restaurant for some hookah, reading, and napping (typical). I went to a massage place for a pedicure. It looked legit on the outside but rather ghetto on the inside. She did an alright job... didn't apply a top coat or anything too technical, but it was nice to have clean feet once again. Traveling in Egypt has turned my soul black (soul, sole, ha ha). On the way back, I stopped by a post office type of place to send out some postcards. When choosing a postcard, I ask myself, will this look good tacked on my fridge? Message me your address if you want a postcard.
I collect shotglasses, and I have not been able to find a shotglass in Egypt since Egyptians don't exactly drink shots. So when I found a shotglass of Ramses II hiding behind a row of mugs at a random shop, I immediately bargained with the guy and bought it for 10EGP. I haggle all the time now, even for a bottle of water at a supermarket (2EGP). It is insane. A good practice for Istanbul, I suppose.
To top off my incredibly productive day in Dahab, I am going to climb Mt. Sinai tonight! We leave at 11pm, so I should probably sleep beforehand. Ciao!
