Places I went. Yepoon and the cake shop.
Highlights - Great Western Hotel (the steaks and the indoor rodeo arena)
Lowlights - Yepoon. Didn't live up to my dreams after all these years of wanting to see it. Too many traffic lights and trains in Rockhampton.
Things I did. Went to Yepoon for a look and took a few photos. Sat at Angie's house while she went to Uni.
Things I should have done. Gone for a run.
Things I shouldn't have done. Eaten the cream and jam donut (Hence the need for the run)
People I met. No opportunities
Comment. Rockhampton is a great beef city that is pretty vibrant and modern. The evidence of commerce and mining abounds. I am sure there are many more things to do in the area like diving, sailing etc, but I am getting a bit toey and need to head to Townsville tomorrow. Not sure if I will make it in one hit, but I am looking forward catching up with family and friends.
Tips. You must go to the Western Hotel on a Friday night and watch the indoor rodeo. Take a white Akubra and your cow kickin' boots.
