Italy has made me a coffee drinker again...mama mia...my inner pig dog is having a heydey...coffee, pasta, wine...
Overall, I think that people are more alike than they are different. We all share the human experience... We all have similar needs and use similar means to satisfy them... the daily struggle for subsistence... and then the daily struggle to find meaning, or joy, or something that fills the stomache of the soul. Corruption and greed plague every country and poverty too and still we know it is not material conditions that ensure happiness... rather world orientation relationship between self and not-self, world and self, self and self? More thumbnails ...

I agree. That's so important to see--that we all, EVERYWHERE, EVERY CULTURE AND GEOLOGY share the same BASIC desires and needs. BUT--don't forget this includes? Maslow's pyramid/heirarchy of needs that must be met (in most observations) for humans to - - BE HUMAN. This is one of the things that so concerns me.
