Oxford is like a an old english gentleman...full of pride, and with good reason, knowing his treasures, still...with a twinkle in his eye.
Vienna is like a classy woman, a bit of a show=off, with something to show. Budapest is a classic beauty, showing wear, too busy working to get food on the table to worry too much about appearances. Our host family in Budapest took us in like family. We shared traditional home cooked meals, laughter, exam stresses, illness, folk dancing, really we shared life completely...for the better part of a week. I got to visit the first Hungarian waldorf school, where I was able to laugh at the universals of children in their development, (All 15 year olds slouch over their desks and play the guitar) and savour the brotherhood of teachers giving their hearts to Waldorf education...to the children, to the future.
