What else can we say about Tarifa, other than amazing! If you kite and or windsurf, or just like being surrounded by cool shops and cool people, then this place is for you. Known as the windiest spot in Spain and Portugal, you're guaranteed to get some riding in, which we did. We stayed at a pretty nice hostel, nothing fancy, that was recommended by the lonely planet. We had a nice stay except for the use of the "free" internet that required a token every 20 minutes and to ask for such a token was much like asking for their first unborn child...
The kiting was a lot of fun, the wind however was a little up and down on the second day, but the kite traffic manageable. You really had to be aware of your surrounding cause there were kiters EVERYWHERE, riding, jumping, crashing.... We had a great time, unfortunately this would be the last time we got out riding during our Portugal/Spain adventure but a great end.
Despite Morocco being very close by and being able to add Africa to our list of Continents we didnt get there, perhaps a good excuse to come back to Tarifa!
