The Narrows is the narrowest section of Zion and can only be viewed by hiking two miles up the Virgin River in water and rocks. You navigate in and along the river, crossing from shore to shore through water mid calf to mid thigh deep. The river is the trail. The section of the trail called Wall Street is the narrowest section of Zion at only 30 to 40 feet wide.

We rented a Narrows kit to hike the trail. The kit consisted of water boots with ankle support and super sticky soles to grip slippery river rocks, rubber socks, and a walking stick. This kit helped us enjoy the hike and not hurt ourselves.
