Kia Ora!
Well we left Palmerston North this morning, and headed further south to Wellington. The views are unbelievable. Now we know why NZ is considered the most beautiful place in the world. There is every type of terrain here. And here is an interesting fact. The farther south you go, the colder it becomes. Why is this you ask? Because we're close to antarctica! We are really on the other side of the world.
Yesterday we experienced their shortest day, and you experienced the longest day of the year. Mind boggling isn't it?
Anyway, back to today's activities.
Once we arrived in Wellington, we proceeded to Scotts College for boys. This is a boarding school. They fed us lunch and then the boys played sports with their choir. After this we made our way around Wellington to St. Mark's where the GGBC did a demonstration performance for 3 other groups. At the end of this time together, the four groups did a Hebrew canon ( round). It was quite moving.
Then we did a bit of sightseeing near a place with Cable Cars! The boys weren't really into the cable cars but the view overwhelmed us all! It is amazingly beautiful, despite the cold. The water is a shimmering blue and you can see the south island from where we are.
After this stop, we went to the local Anglican Cathedral for a rehearsal with a girls chorus.
Thankfully we all get to sleep in, because we get a free day!! I believe that many boys are going to a museum of Natural History.
A note from the Staff:
Thank you for allowing us to care for your boys on this trip. We truly have your sons best interest at heart:-) The staff is holding up well, and we're all enjoying this tout!
We are all pleased with your sons behavior, and the boys truly are having fun!
Some of you asked about more details regarding the luge:-)
Unfortunately the internet connection since Rotorua has been hit or miss, so I ( Samara) usually end up writing the blogs and giving messages back to the boys that you write.
It would be great if every boy received a message before we leave for Hawaii. IF you know of anyone that does not have an internet connection, you can write it for them:-)
Thanks!
And I will write more later! I will be posting pictures again tomorrow if everything works!

Julian ~ How are you mijo (miho)? we miss you, but Zachary has a recording of your voice so we play it from time to time to hear you both laughing and that makes us all laugh. Everytime I read what Samara writes about what you boys are doing and seeing, I know you must be in awe of all the beautiful places, things and people. Try to keep your journal up-to-date so you can share every detail with us when you get home. Stay warm and be happy. I Love You XXOOxxooXO

We hope you are having a good time seeing all the cool sights. How many times did you go down the Luge? I bet it still brings a smile to your face. Zachary says he has learned a few tricks for the Nintendo DS games that he will share with you when next he sees you. Wishing you a safe, fun and exciting rest of the tour. Enjoy singing and each other.

Dear Riju
It's almost time for you to leave NZ. I am sure you had a great experience so far. I am glad you will be now moving to a warmer area. Have fun swimming and snorkling in Hawaii. Don't forget the sunscreen and stay close to your group in the water. I love you and miss you. Can't wait for you to get back and tell us all about your trip, perhaps write about it as well.
