Asalam Malekum!
So Im writing this e-mail over again because last night there was a power happens quite freqently in fact and usually it means a nice candle lit dinner with my awesome host family but this time it also erased my e-mail, the good news is that Im getting to know this keyboard a bit better...

So yes I found out where my site placement will be. I must admit I was a bit dissapointed when I found out.  Here are the reasons why: I have electricy and running water.  Also Im not really in a small village I have 3'000 people!  Oh and yes its in the desert where it can reach 142 F!  Also unforuntetly some of my closest friends that Ive made are placed far away...

Here is the good news though : because I am the third volunteer, I do not have to do any of the grunt work of researching or writing grants.  I actually get to install the waste management system that they wanted with the money Peace Corps already got!  Im so excited because this is what I am best at!  On top of it all, they also have a new environmental club that wants to work more with theatre and the Womens group has not been worked with yet:  This site placement seems to have been made for me.  So Im really excited!

So again thank you so much to those who have been writing me e-mails. It really means a lot to me and Im sorry that I do not have the time or the patience with the keyboard to write each of you.  I love you all!!

Send me letters and tea and purell!

Going with the flow...
seems to be something you do pretty well, Ngone. We wish you the happiest of times in your permanent placing. Just think, by the time you leave you will have 3,000 more people who either know Ngone (aka Desneige) or know someone who knows her! Keep this up and you'll be world president one day! :)
We sent off a small package yesterday. Expect it in about 2 weeks. It has some letters in it as well a few things. But we will do better with the few things next time.
Much love from Belfast and Mrs. Crabapple and all her grown-up apples.

Trade your weather for a few hours?
It's been raining like crazy! One of the biggest wind and rainstorms since the ice storm of '98. Rivers flooding, power outages, roads washed out. Some Spring. I'd like to wish it on you there. Whoa, 142 degrees. I'm still trying to get your pasckage out. there were 15 people at the post office line trying to mail last minute tax returns today. Will try again tomorrow. Purell is on the way. Meanwhile, try not to get your hands dirty. Love, 'not-the-momma'

Desneige, I am so excited for you! This sounds like such an incredible experience. I love getting these emails from you, and I'll continue to look forward to hearing more in the next two years! Wow, two years!! Sounds long, but I'm sure it will fly by! I will most definitely send you a care package my dear. No worries. You'll probably get them from everyone and have enough Purell for 10 years!! Haha. I'll send you some stuff anyway. Take care!!

HI!!!!!!! Oh my goodness how I miss you! But I am so excited for you that you are now over a month into your journey. D, this couldn't have been more perfect for you. This experience will shape your life and be with you forever. I know it's too bad that you're in a bigger town but I think the things you will be doing there are incredible...and I know you'll do them well and with so much passion and energy. Things are finally spring-like in Vermont. I did get into the program at CIIS and I am defering for a year and also got into the Bouler College of Massage Therapy, so I'll be heading to Boulder in June...then to grad school next fall. I'm sending you ALL of my love, you're amazing...and I'll send you a package soon. MUCH MUCH LOVE!!!! Siri
