We have now officially switched on to Fiji time and are chilling under the humid heat. Did some fun activities too, hired a Malibu board for two and surfed the tiny waves. Snorkelling among the multi-coloured fish and beautiful corals was magical until I swam into knee-high water and hit the beautiful corals. Gave up and returned, bleeding to the resort to have some tea and read books in hammocks.

The locals are really friendly and call Simon "bro". They also have this funny handshake thing. I think it's a guy thing and leave them to it.

In the Essaya islands, the elders/priests decided that to protect the islands from cyclones and drought, all citizens are to pray every Tuesday morning and evening. There has not been a severe cyclone for 10 years now.
