I am currently sitting at a nice little cafe, enjoying a hummus pita and salad, listening to the establishment's mix of arab techno and indian Bollywood wails, ever so often glancing at the left-over hippie with the Mickey Mouse backpack and picking his toes. No, I am not in the middle of some foreign land, but San Rafael, CA -- my hometown. Granted, some may identify this county seat as the former, but I am taking a few moments to break away from my homework (Financial Analysis -- Liquidy Ratios, Net Present Value, bla, bla bla) to give this travel blog I started last month a whirl. I have not even made this blog public, so it's not like I expect anyone to read it. This is more of a test drive, and an opportunity to put some thoughts I have already developed into print (ones n zeros, eh, whatever).
This trip is still a primary focus of mine. Ever since this idiotic idea popped into my head this winter, I have spend many a useless free moments thinking about where I want to go, how I am going to pull it off, as well as telling any willing mind about my journey. No one seems to think it's as cool as I do. =)Anyway, at this time, the preliminary itinerary will be (so people can stop asking me how I am going to do this in only 8 days):
