Our international flight departed very early this morning at 8.30. So we arranged for a taxi to collect us all at 5.45. Everyone was too excited to be tired. We zipped thru customers and quarantine after a bite to eat for breakfast and jumped aboard. The flight was just over 3 hours and the kids kept themselves entertained, Billy even managed a sleep
On arrival again we zipped thru customs, collected our bags and on to our transfer bus for a whirlwind trip thru the town of Nadi. A bit of an eye opener for the Miley kids who haven't been to anywhere that is poor like this before. Things changed on entering Denarau Island where all the resorts courses, manicured lawns, beautiful estates...70% owned by Aussies...
Our resort is awesome. The best pool in Denarau for kids with a cool waterslide, the staff are incredible, remembering the kids names after meeting them only once. We attended the welcome cocktail party and then had a bite to eat at the resteraunt. Then after dinner we watched a fire dance and participated in the international frog race which was won by Japan's "Jecky Chan". Our frog was Usane Bolt from Jamaica, who was later served for dinner I think....
Black to the room for a nightcap on the balcony, good nights said for a great rest before a big day tomorrow.
