We were not all that impressed with Bodrum and actually were glad to spend the next day and a half in Turgatreis which we loved.  We had a great picnic lunch on the beach and relaxed with our new friends Jim and Umit ...The only thing that was truly impressive was the billions of dollars of yachts in the harbour.

One thing is to be sure and that is that the Turks take their bread very seriously!  It has nothing at all to do with Bodrum but every where in the country there are hundreds of kinds of bread...always fresh and always great.

And boy..they sure know how to do carbs!  Breakfast is always bread and cheese and olives and honey and wonderful sour cherry jams!  Doner kebab (chýcken and lamb) is pretty much always on a half loaf of bread or a bun or dürüm (like a flour torilla)...and pide is everywhere!

Ulike SE Asia and C America...This will surely be one of the only trips where we gain weight!
