We spent our last few days in Belize pretty much beaching it and enjoying the fabulous seafood and Garifuna culture. We sure ate our fair share of lobster and red snapper.
It was quite cold at night though, even the iguanas were hugging the tin roofs to glean some heat!
It is a very cool town though, as friendly as it gets with shops with names like Candy's Fast Food, John the Bakerman, Miss Daisy's Ice Cream and Veronica's Vegetables. Proof is that we met and bought from each of these people!
It really is also a birder's paradise. Of course Marg and Sarah would be helpful since we have no idea what birds we are seeing...
As much as this is an easy place to stay, there is a peculiar pleasure in setting out into the unknown...a pleasure which no second journey on the same trail ever affords...so we now set out on a new trail!
