Well last night we enjoyed our final "ethnic night" for a few months...but we are certain that the thai flavours from last night will sustain us over many days of rice and beans and beans and rice!
This entry is really just to thank all of our wonderful chowhound friends for all the good thoughts,(great food)and best wishes. You people are the best!
We were talking with Greg C about one of our favourite sites and thought all of you might like to explore it and its message boards. Jim Leff has created a fabulous site (chowhound.com) that we have used for many years when looking for new food in a new city.
His FAQ section describes a chowhound as someone who spends nearly every waking moment planning his/her next meal
Chowhounds tend to be successful, since the defining qualities of chowhoundom (intelligence, discernment, drive, passion for quality) are key for accomplishment in general. One unifying factor is that even those who've chosen less ambitious career tracks (mostly, we suspect, to allow extra free time for eating around) serve as resources for the people around them. Chowhounds are "go-to" people for advice on what to eat as well as where to get a picture framed or the best deal on cellular service. Oh yeah...that's our group!
We are blessed to be able to share the chowhound experience with such an awesome group. Thanks to Roberta and Bruce, Sue, Marg, Judy, Alex, Jen and George, Greg and Sarah, Guy and Marion, and Greg and Lisa. We'll miss you all and look forward to getting together in May.

More thai chocolate
. Whether dining in an expensive cafe or grabbing a quick scrambled egg sandwich to munch on the way to work, chowhounds hate to ingest anything undelicious, and they won't hesitate to go far out of their way for something slightly better. For a true hound, the curve of diminishing results is more an exciting challenge than an imposing dead end. You have all brought this attribute to our monthly get togethers.Chowhounds tend to be successful, since the defining qualities of chowhoundom (intelligence, discernment, drive, passion for quality) are key for accomplishment in general.
