Well everyone...here we are on the beach in Nha Trang. Sorry, still no CD or card reader so you'll have to check back for photos at a later date.

Nha Trang is not at all what we expected ...it has a reputation as Vietnam's supreme seaside party town and people told us that because the beach is public we'd be constantly hounded by vendors of massage, fruit, seafood, manicures and beer. We also thought it would be touristy and busy.

It has been quite the opposite. It is very quiet...maybe because it is mid-week and high season is over. In any case, it is easy to see why it is compared with other "rivieras." It is 6 kms of broad white sand beach, surrounded by green hills that just fall away into torquoise waters.

By the way, thanks to everyone for checking in at travelpod. We never even thought of this, but your "hits" have put us on the Top Ten of the Month list again this month!!!!

Hope you are enjoying the updates...more (and hopefully pics) from Ho Chi Minh!
