Well, we actually had not just one night, but several nights in Bangkok, for which we must thank the Martin's!

(We also spent several great nights in Phuket, thanks to the Nugent's. Our hosts have been incredible!)

We don't think the Martin's will mind us telling you that they have a very beautiful, and very large place on Sukumvhit Soi 20 which they graciosuly shared with us. We didn't see too much of them because we were all so busy, but we did take in all of the normal "must-sees" in the city: the Chao Praya river boat tour, the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Khao San Road, Patpong, Muay Thai at Lumpini and Chatuchak Market!

We were very unhappy that we couldn't buy more! There are so many great things, from axe pillows to furniture...

Since then we have taken a 14-15 hour journey (on a night train, thank goodness) to Chiang Mai, where we are currently enrolling in a Thai cooking school and booking a hill tribe village trek. More to come after those two events!
