After a long flight we had to remain on the plane while it was sprayed according to Health Regulations. We went through customs and had no trouble getting a taxi to our hotel. We arrived at the Park Regis at 10am, and were pleasantly surprised to find that our room was ready and we could check in immediately.
We unpacked, made a cup of coffee, then went for a walk to explore. It was an easy walk down to Circular Quay - a welcome walk after sitting for so many hours on the plane. We got our first view of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House, and took the first of many photos of them.
We visited the Information Centre and then strolled around the Rocks area before returning to the hotel.
Jet lag caught up with us and we slept for a few hours. When we woke up went for a burger, and we were in bed by 10pm.
