Only time for a day and a half stop, before Santo Domingo and vet supplies calls.

Lara, who I had previously travelled with in San Juan, had suggested Shirley Heights on a Sunday night.  It was really great with a live band, BBQ and few beers.  It was a really cool venue, formally the officers quarters for the English garrison stationed there.

The following day I had booked to got to Stingray City.  I had not thought that I would be able to swim with them as I though you could only do this in Grand Cayman.  But hey!  What do you know!  It was a fantastic experience.  We even had a baby Baracuda come in at feeding time.  I'm pleased to say it was a little timid and didn't venture too close.

The sting rays a huge and feeding them was pretty scary.  The one I fed nearly sucked my knuckle off!  I also met a lovely couple from London.  The woman gotta hicky on her boobie when one got the wrong idea where the food was!!  I'd like to say at this point stingrays suck there food into their mouths, so it didn't leave any bite marks!!  Made a jump though!

The island itself was fairly poor, so I decided not to venture out at night on my own.  Mostof the tourist, as in St Lucia, are on all inclusive packages, so stay on resort.

Also, met this great American guy, Rob, who was a tattoo artist.  He had pretty much a full suit of tattoos and he was explaining how different cultures react.  The people of Antigua apparently were very impressed with his ink, but apparently in Japan, he was nearly an outcase, showing tattoos in public is taboo...
