Ah bless internet credit card fraud...  Its been a constant battle of advanced planning cash ever since my card got jacked and was limited so couldn't be used for internet purchases... and sometimes buying stuff even in person...  Consequently this time round it didn't work for the car rental guarantee... bummer so no Alison Krauss concert... argh!  So although I have another card its rubbish so that was that and I had an extra few days in Seattle.  Advice to anyone thinking of travelling, be more organised than me and have two credit cards and more importantly know they work!

Still Seattle is a nice city.  I met Nick in the lobby that evening and we headed down to the wharf for fish n chips for dinner.  During our wandering we found Eli - street artist, entertainer and would be traveler.  Struck down with a brain aneurysm life had changed for him, but his art maintained him.  With the sound of techno helping his focus, a selection of aerosol cans and a lighter he created master pieces right in front of your eyes.  He created a rising pheonix for me and I gladly chipped him the 20 bucks for the priveledge and added to his fund to travel to Indonesia to marry his girlfriend. See the pic.

The next day was a 4 hour hike to the nearest ticket outlet for the Aerosmith concert.  Having failed to see Alison, I indulged and got row 15 tickets, but I didn't realise at the time how good those tickets would be.  On the way back I found this immense record shop and spent more than an hour there, I could of spent a fortune, but somehow resisted.

The EMP Museum was really good and well worth a visit if your in Seattle.  Exhibits included Avatar; Horror; Science Fiction; Jimi Hendrix; Nirvana and AC/DC.  Was super cool.
After a bit of twoing and froing eventually I met with Nicole and Kirsty from Canada who were in the hostel especially for the gig.  So we traveled down together.  The dome was huge and I was very pleased to have bought up front tickets.  Wouldn't have seen anything from the back! Anyway turns out I was right on the corner of the stage that protruded out into the audience and where Mr Tyler and Joe Perry rose up out of the stage for their first number.  Also, turns out this was their fav spot, so I spent a lot of the gig only 3 people from all the action!!! Result.

Met up with the girls after and turns out they got lucky too.  They had seats on the floor too but as they got there they got grabbed by the crew and brought forward to sit right at the stage edge...  Ah I guess what they say about rock n roll is true.  Effectively the band lined the front of the stage with hot chicks!!  Man I got the wrong job.  I also wonder if the Christian hecklers outside the stadium, who were preaching hard line 'your all going to hell' stuff, were also part of the performance.  Either way they were pretty brave, I thought they were going to get lynched at one point!

Yeah baby Yeah!
